The Transforming Power Of Camp

Over the years, we have discovered the power of blending therapeutic activities with high-energy camp fun. Carefully sequenced activities allow children who have been affected by cases of suicide, murder, drunk driving, drug overdoses (and sadly more) have permission to feel free to play and laugh again.

Any willing person who has experienced loss can easily volunteer to be trained to help these children. During this time, you will meet and serve with others that understand you, and together we will experience and witness the miracles of healing hurting hearts.

2026 Family Retreat

A Weekend Where Families Heal as One

October 23–25, 2026 – Morgan’s Camp in San Antonio

Loss touches every member of a family, not just the youngest hearts. That’s why our Fall Family Retreat brings parents, kids, and siblings to Morgan’s Camp in San Antonio for a weekend built around healing side by side. Counselors guide the hard conversations. Campfires, crafts, and time outdoors handle the rest.

Space is limited. Toddler care available.

I have volunteered at Camp Agape for many years and it is such a rewarding experience to be able to see the change in kids from when the arrive at camp to when they leave.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I volunteered as a buddy for Camp Agape last year and it is truly one of the most meaningful experiences I have ever had. I am a funeral director, so I have felt a strong calling to help the grieving for years and I truly believe that God led me to Camp Agape. I was very nervous, because I did not know what to expect. I did not know if my experience in my job had prepared me enough to help a child, but the staff at the camp were so amazing in helping to make me feel prepared. I went there to help the grieving on a deeper level, what I did not expect was how healing the experience would be for me. I lost my father at the age of 16, my camper had just lost her mother, so I feel that I was really able to create a bond with her through the shared loss of a parent. My camper and Camp Agape will always have a special place in my heart!

It's also an amazing volunteer opportunity for anyone who is interested in grief counseling! Camp Agape offers compassion, healing activities, community, acceptance and laughter as campers are guided through this faith based program.
